LRSJ students help organise a range of events each year, from training seminars on key law reform skills to panel discussions on topical social justice issues.

In past years, we held panel discussions with academics, legal experts and eminent speakers about their work on labour rights, environmental justice, law reform and indigenous rights. The Law Council provided training in submission writing and we hosted several careers panels for students to explore how they can pursue law reform, social justice and advocacy after their studies.

Students involved in LRSJ are encouraged to think about events they might want to hold during the year and discuss them with the Director. What skills do you need to develop? Which topical areas do you think ANU students should learn more about? Who should we be hearing from? What should we be getting involved in? How might be we be more effective at making a difference as a law school?
